July 6–10
Campers will begin their summer exploring animals that live on land, from big and gentle giants to small and speedy creatures. Through sensory play, movement activities, and hands-on crafts, we’ll learn how these animals walk, eat, and interact with their environments. Throughout the week, we’ll take nature walks in Prospect Park to observe animals in their natural habitats. This first week is all about getting comfortable in the camp routine, building connections, and discovering the world of animals right beneath our feet.

July 13–17
This week we step into the world of ponds and wetlands. Water play, sensory bins, and hands-on activities help us explore how these animals live both in water and on land. A trip to the Prospect Park Zoo brings everything to life. Expect lots of movement, splashing, and discovery.

July 20–24
Things get wiggly as we explore reptiles and scaled creatures. We’ll slither, stretch, and learn how these animals move and protect themselves. The studio turns into a mini reptile museum for up-close exploration. A great week for building curiosity and confidence.

July 27–31
Get ready to bug out. We’ll use magnifying glasses, sensory play, and hands-on activities to explore how insects live, move, and build. A visit to the American Museum of Natural History’s insectarium gives us a closer look. Small creatures, big discoveries.

August 3–7
This week we take to the skies and explore birds and how they fly. Movement games, crafts, and outdoor time help us understand flight and nesting. Bird watching in Prospect Park lets us spot different species in action. Light, active, and full of movement.

August 10–14
Watch things grow as we explore plants and how they change over time. We’ll dig, plant, and experiment with what helps things thrive. A visit to the Botanical Garden brings it all to life. Calm, hands-on, and nature-focused.

August 17–21
Step into the world of fungi and other unique living things. We’ll explore textures, shapes, and how mushrooms grow through sensory play and simple experiments. The studio turns into a mini fungi lab for hands-on discovery. A little messy, a lot of fun.

August 24–28
This week brings everything together. We’ll revisit animals, plants, and favorite activities from the summer while making connections across what we’ve learned. A visit to a local pet store gives us one last up-close experience. A relaxed and fun way to wrap up camp.
